Understanding Property Consumption Meters

The Consumption Tab under the Property profile allows consumption tracking across multiple meters, for example water meters, electricity meters and gas meters. Depending on the type of meter, the unit of measure automatically updates so you don't need to enter it manually.

This article will cover the following:


Add a Meter

To add a Meter Type go to: 

  • Property Profile > Consumption Tab
  • Click on Add Meter

  • Select Meter Types drop-down
  • Select the Meter Type required

After the Meter type has been selected, you can enter the details:

  • Meter Number
  • Allowance Units (if applicable)
  • Description of the meter and location
  • Click Save

Switching between different Meter Types, you will notice the Unit will change as follows:

  • Electricity Meter Unit - kWh
  • Water Meter Unit - kL
  • Gas Meter - No unit measure

The details of the Meter Type will display in the Meters section. Once entered, it will also display a summary of the latest reading details for each of the meters configured.


Meter Readings

Add Meter Reading

You can add meter readings to each meter and attach the invoice to the reading.  To add a meter reading:

  • Locate the meter in the Meters section of the Consumption tab
  • Click the + button
  • Enter the meter details 
  • Click Save

 Meter Details & History

A History of readings can be seen when viewing the details of the meter. To view or edit meter details:

  • Locate the meter in the Meters section of the Consumption tab
  • Click the Details icon

On the Edit Meter pop up, the Meter Number, Allowance and Description can be edited as required. The Meter Type is greyed out and cannot be changed.

To edit the meter readings:

  • Click the Edit pencil

  • Edit the reading details as required
  • Click Save

Readings can also be deleted by clicking the Trash icon on the Edit Meter pop up.
