Summary: This article aims to provide information on how to utilise and understand each widget displayed in the Leases section of Business Insights.

To navigate to the Leases, click on the Revenue icon

The order of these icons can be moved by clicking and holding on the icon and dragging it left or right.

However you chose to organise the icons, Property Tree will remember your choice for next time.

Click the View Filters icon  on the right-hand side to customise the data on the Business Intelligence Page as required.

You can filter Business Intelligence by Commercial or Residential selecting the Management Type

If you have more than one active Trust Account in Property Tree, you can filter the dashboard by choosing a Trust 

If you wish to view information in a past Financial Year, you can select which year to view

You can filter information using Financial Month and selecting one or multiple months to view and compare

Choose Portfolio to customise the data on the dashboard based on one or more portfolios 

You can filter Property Type to compare the differences 

If you would like to compare information on the amount of bedrooms in the property, you can use the filter option Bedrooms

NOTE – Leaving the filters blank will give you results for the whole company.


Drill Down & Drill Up

Drill Down & Drill Up options are available again each widget on the page, this allows to see further information, less information or focus just on that particular section of the page. The Drill down & Up option also allows your to export and filter the information.

The Current widget displays the total amount of Active Properties, Active Tenancies, Active Leases, the percentage of Leases that have expired and the percentage of properties that are vacant. 


The widget, This Month, shows a break down of information for the current month, this displays the amount of property that are Let, how many leases have started that have become vacant in this month, the total number of tenants that have moved into properties and if there have been any lost managements.


The Current Leases widget displays the number of leases that are current compared to the total amount of leases in Property Tree


The number of Leases Expired displays compared to the total amount of leases in Property Tree


The number of leases that do not have an End Date entered against the Tenancy Profile compared to the total amount of leases in Property Tree


Leasing Activity widget displays the number of New Leases that have started, the total of Leases that have been Renewed and Vacated Leases for each month.

If you wish to break down the information by viewing one month, you can click on the graph in the month you would like to view. This will update all widgets in the Leases Section to appear with information in that particular month only. To revert back to viewing all, click anywhere on the box which will refresh the widgets on the screen.


Top Suburbs - Active Leases appear with the amount of Leases that are active in each Suburb. 

If you wish to break down the information by viewing one month, you can click on the graph in the month you would like to view. This will update all widgets in the Lease Section to appear with that particular month only. To review back to viewing all, click anywhere on the box which will refresh the widgets on the screen.


The Leases Widget displays a percentage amount for each month for Current, Expiring, Expired and No End Date. 

If you wish to break down the information by viewing one month, you can click on the graph in the month you would like to view. This will update all widgets in the Lease Section to appear with that particular month only. To review back to viewing all, click anywhere on the box which will refresh the widgets on the screen.


Properties Widget displays two lines, one blue which represents the Active Leases and a red on which represents the number of Vacant Properties. It displays a 6 month trend.


Total Rent Collected displays the total Rental Amount that has been collected throughout the month. If the rent had a GST component i.e. for a Commercial Tenancy, it will display the GST amount as well. 


Average Weekly Rent Amount is yearly line graph that displays each month the average amount of rent that was collected within the Agency. 


The Let Managements Widget displays the percentage amount of Tenanted, Vacant and New Business for the last 3 months


Total Fees Collected a the monetary value of the Management Fees that have been collected within the month, these are split by the GST amount and the Management Fee Amount. 


The New Leases Started Widget displays the percentage amount of entered leases into Property Tree for Existing Managements and New Business.
