Summary: This article aims to provide information on how to utilise and understand each widget displayed in the Statistics section of Business Insights.

This article will cover the Statistics section in Business Insights

To navigate to the Statistics, click on the Revenue icon

The order of these icons can be moved by clicking and holding on the icon and dragging it left or right.

However you chose to organise the icons, Property Tree will remember your choice for next time.

Click the View Filters icon  on the right-hand side to customise the data on the Business Intelligence Page as required.

You can filter Business Intelligence by Commercial or Residential selecting the Management Type

If you have more than one active Trust Account in Property Tree, you can filter the dashboard by choosing a Trust 

If you wish to view information in a past Financial Year, you can select which year to view

To view information on the Revenue Screen for a particular Financial Quarter, select the Financial Quarter filter option.

You can filter information using Calendar Month and selecting one or multiple months to view and compare

Choose Portfolio to customise the data on the dashboard based on one or more portfolios

NOTE – Leaving the filters blank will give you results for the whole company.


Drill Down & Drill Up

Drill Down & Drill Up options are available again each widget on the page, this allows to see further information, less information or focus just on that particular section of the page. The Drill down & Up option also allows your to export and filter the information.

Filter options - This appears with the filter options that you have selected on the right-hand side filter panel

Focus Mode - Select this option to view only this widget

Statistics Report - Chart of Definitions

Number of Active PropertiesThe count of all properties that are active
Number of Vacant PropertiesVacant Properties (including inactive or prospect tenants)
Vacancy RateThe percentage of Vacant Proprieties from Active Properties
Number of Active LeasesActive Leases include all tenancies currently paying rent:
  • Tenancy may or may not have vacated
  • If Tenancy is vacated the charge to date has not yet been reached
  • Property not flagged as lost
  • The Tenancy's Rent Start Date is in the past  
Number of Active Leases with no End DateAll Tenancies that include: 
  • Tenancy Lease End Date not Supplied
  • Property not flagged as lost
  • The Tenancy's Rent Start Date is in the past
Number of Active Leases ExpiredTenancy Lease end date not supplied
Number of Active Leases Expired %The percentage of Leases Expired from Active Leases
Number of Active TenanciesAll Active Tenancies in Property Tree
Number of Tenancies in ArrearsActive Tenancies that are:
  • No vacating information entered
  • In Rent Arrears by more than 1 day (includes anything outstanding on a commercial rent invoice)
% of Tenancies in Rent ArrearsThe  percentage of Number of Tenancies in Rent Arrears from Active Leases
Tenancy Arrears AmountThe sum of rent arrears for current tenancies only
Avg Weekly RentThe average weekly rent amount across the properties with Active Tenancy Leases
Tenanted Properties GainedAmount of Properties Including: 
  • Tenancy is not Deleted nor Prospect
  • The Property's Gained Date falls within the selected Partial Period 
Vacant Properties GainedAmount of vacant properties gained including:
  • The Property's  Gained Date falls within the selected Partial Period
  • The Property has not been leased
  • The Property's Gained Date is on or before the Original Lease Start Date

Total Properties Gained

The sum of Tenanted and Vacant Properties Gained
Properties LostAmount of Properties that include:
  • Properties that are flagged as lost
  • The property's Authority End Date falls within the selected Partial Period
Net Properties Gained/LostThe Total Properties Gained minus the Total Properties Lost
New Leases (New Business)The number of new Tenancy Leases which include - 
  • The Tenancy's Original Lease Start Date is greater than or equal to the Property's Gained Date
New Leases (Existing Business) 
Total New LeasesThe accumulated amount of New Leases of Existing Business and New Leases of New Business
Lease Renewals The number of tenancy leases which include: 
  • The Tenancy's Original Lease Start Date doesn't match the Lease Start Date
  • The Tenancy's Rent Start Date is before the lease Start Date
  • The Tenancy's Lease Start Date falls within the selected Partial Period
#Properties Settled The number of Sales Properties Including:
  • Property has settled
  • The Settlement Date falls within the selected Partial Period
Total Settled PriceAccumulated price of all properties that have been sold 
Total Mgmt Fees (excl GST)The sum of all fees paid from Property Management Fees (Inc. GST)
Total Sales Fees (excl GST)The sum of all fees paid from the Sales Fees (Inc. GST)
